Northern Fiber Glass Sales, Inc. Timeline:

1965

Northern Reinforcements is founded as a sales representative for then Burlington Glass Fabrics. Northern occupies a small office space behind a plumbing supply store in South Hampton, NH. Several years later the company becomes known as Northern Fiber Glass Sales for the first time.

1977

Richmond Aircraft Products names Northern as its exclusive distributor in the Eastern USA and Canada for its vacuum bagging consumables line.

1980

Current owner and President Ray Miller joins Northern Fiber Glass Sales.
With a vision to expand the company, Ray steers Northern in the direction of “advanced composites”.

1982

Current owner and VP Tim Sullivan joins Northern Fiber Glass Sales. The partnership is forged that will guide Northern until the present day.

1983

Northern changes its relationship with Burlington Glass Fabrics and becomes a distributor.
Precision Fabrics Group names Northern as a sales representative / distributor of its peel ply products. Newport Adhesives names Northern as a sales representative for its prepreg and adhesive products.

1985

Furane (now Huntsman) names Northern as its sales representative for aerospace adhesives.

1988

Northern relocates to a larger 12000sf premises in Hampton, NH.

1994

Current VP Sales Dick Hewett joins Northern.

1995

Dexter (now Henkel) names Northern as distributor of its Frekote release agents.

1997

Newport awards Northern “Outstanding Sales Representative”.

2001

Northern honored the first of three times as BGF’s “Distributor of the Year”.

2005

Advanced Ceramics Research names Northern as distributor of its wash-out tooling materials.

2006

Between 1980 and 2006 the company grows from 3 to 18 employees. In the same time frame sales grow from $0.5M to $30M. To support sales growth, an additional 3000sf warehouse occupied. ISO 9001 and AS9120 certifications are achieved.

2008

Northern selects Greensboro, NC as the location for its new stocking and service facility. Second warehouse in Greensboro, NC is opened to better serve Northern’s southeastern and mid-west customers. Northern becomes a Hysol Aerospace adhesives distributor for Henkel Aerospace.

2009

Northern brand introduced. Northern AS9120 certification expanded to AS9100 to cover manufacturing activities.
